Useful Information

 

How To Look After Your Smile

We would always recommend the following as a good daily routine for looking after your smile:

    • Brush twice a day with a pea size drop of fluoride toothpaste, using a small circular action covering all surfaces of each tooth
    • Change toothbrush at least every 3 months or when the bristles get out of shape
    • Clean between each tooth using floss or interdental brushes
    • Try to have no more than 2 sugary snacks/drinks per day. Generally teeth can tolerate sugar up to 5 times per day if they are brushed twice per day with fluoride toothpaste

    ….and of course, visit your Dentist regularly.

      Dental Emergencies

      For useful advice for what to do in a specific dental emergency prior to contacting/attending the Practice (e.g. lost crown, swollen gums) please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions section.

      Emergency Appointments

      Emergency appointments are available daily. We ask that you ring us as early in the day as possible to allow us the best chance of helping you that day. We will always try to make you more comfortable if we cannot solve your problem immediately.

      Unable to Keep an Appointment

      We ask that you give us 48 hours notice in order that we might reallocate the surgery time to another patient. If less than 48 hours notice is given and we are unable to fill the appointment space, you may still be charged the
      appointment fee.

      Treatment Guarantee

      Whilst we aim to carry out all treatment to the highest possible standard, occasionally problems do arise. As your satisfaction is of the utmost importance, we will always carry out any reasonable repair or replacement of a failed restoration or denture.

      Payment Plans

      Private patients may join one of our Dental Plans – Club and Premier Membership allow patients to spread the cost of their annual treatment over 12 monthly instalments paid by direct debit.

      Oral Health Products

      Below you can view a comprehensive list of the range of oral health products available to purchase from the Practice, some of which cannot be obtained on the high street. These are sold at virtually cost price as it is of the utmost importance to us that you receive the appropriate care and treatment. If you run out of anything and are not due into the Practice, you can telephone Reception and we will be happy to post the product out to you.

      This Practice complies with the 2018 Data Protection Act and this policy describes our procedures for ensuring that personal information about Patients is processed fairly and lawfully. The Data Controller for the Practice is Dr. Smriti Bhakta.

      In this Practice we take complaints very seriously and try to ensure that all our Patients are pleased with their experience of our service. This policy ensures that if you do complain, you will be dealt with courteously and promptly so that the matter is resolved as quickly as possible.
